The PgMP certification recognizes advanced experience, skill and performance in the oversight of multiple, related projects and their resources aligned with an organizational objective. PgMP certification holders oversee the success of a program — a way to group multiple, related projects to achieve benefits that may not be realized if the projects were managed in a stand-alone fashion. To earn PgMP credential, you need to meet the experience and education requirements, and pass the panel review and the multiple-choice examination. Regardless of how advanced your program management experience or education might be, you should still prepare vigorously for the exam. If you schedule 25 June or later, your exam will reference The Standard for Program Management – Fourth Edition (released in September 2017).
